TRIM support

The SK Hynix BC901  supports TRIM technology, a feature in Windows 7 and later. Designed to maintain optimal SSD performance throughout the drive’s lifespan, TRIM technology actively erases invalid data from SSD memory cells, ensuring that write operations are performed at maximum speed. Since a memory block must be erased before it can be reprogrammed, TRIM improves performance by proactively erasing pages containing invalid data, allowing the SSD to write new data without having to perform time-consuming erase commands.

SMART technology

The SK Hynix BC901 SSD  self-monitors through Smart Reporting and Analysis technology, allowing the computer to predict future hard drive failures. Through the SMART system, the SSD incorporates an advanced diagnostic suite that monitors the SSD’s internal operations and provides early warnings for a variety of potential problems.
